The Italian Pirate - Max Pescatori
Massimiliano "Max" Pescatori is a young professional player living in Las Vegas and playing poker all over the world. Max came to America in 1994 from his birthplace, Milan, Italy. He didn't know anyone here and just decided to leave for the USA. Max started out playing five-card draw in his friends' homes in his native Italy. Once in America, he saw professional poker rooms and began playing seven-card stud. "My friends thought I was crazy and my family was sure I had lost my mind." Neither crazy nor lost describe max. Soon after arriving in Las Vegas he begin playing stud poker at the Luxor poker room. Max won his first tournament in 2003 and during 2004 the Ultimate Poker challenge at teh Plaza in Las Vegas saw Max make 8 final tables, more than anyone else. During 2004 Max finished in the money 24 times, made 16 final tables and won a ring when he finished first at the WSOP Circuit event in Atlantic City.
Career Highlight: Won a WSOP Circuit event tournament in Atlantic City and has one of the first WSOP championship rings ever presented. Won back to back tournaments at the 2003 Reno World Poker Challenge.
